We
have been active in imaging design for a long time, and have quite a
bit of experience in both CCD and CMOS detector design and applications.

The detector shown here is a large area CMOS camera used for digital x-ray applications.
The sensitive area of this camera is covered with a 'scintillator' which converts x-ray photons to visible light.
Once an image is focused on the 'detector' area, it is digitized,
and transmitted to an image review station for storage and analysis. |

| The
image at the right shows just how good the new generation of CMOS
images have become. The actual image size is 2048 x 2048 pixels. |
