Large sensitive CMOS arrays are perfect for x-ray use. You rarely see sensors this large, but these applications have special needs, so the solutions are unique- and very specific.
This was an LVDS fuelled camera, and captured data with the help of Gadox and/or Cesium Iodide scintillators. I also designed the PCI data capture system for this camera. The card supported multiple input formats. Shown here, the card is fitted with a COAX input front-end. It also supported fiber optic, LVDS and proprietary formats.
I also write Windows dlls and application level software to support these cameras....
